CTEVT hikes tuition fees for nursing students

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) is sticking it to nursing students. The Council upped the cost of its three year Proficiency Certificate Level Nursing course by 20%. Students enrolling for this program will fork now out Rs. 479,000, an increase of Rs. 80,000 from the past peg at Rs. 396,000. Why the increase? Ram Hari Lamichhane, member secretary at CTEVT, today said they had increased the nursing fees after four years.
